ABOUT Global CyberPeace Challenge
Global CyberPeace Challenge is a journey to recognize and award young talent and build solutions to some pressing problems that face our society. The objective of the challenge is to both present technical challenges to identify talent and to tap their innovative approach to solving critical real-world problems.
The inaugural version of Global CyberPeace Challenge was organized in 2017 as a month-long event in collaboration with Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeITY), that saw a huge participation of approx 5000 members from more than 50 countries. The Grand Finale of Global CyberPeace Challenge was organized as a Curtain Raiser Event of Global Conference on CyberPeace Space (GCCS) which was organized in India. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi and was accompanied by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Shri Ranil Wickremesinghe and ITU Secretary General, Mr Houlin Zhao. The stage was also shared by the then IT minister of India Shri Ravishankar Prasad along with other Union Ministers of India.
The event was live covered on Doordarshan and CNN which was viewed by almost 1 billion people of the Republic of India, it was also aired in other countries with the estimated reach of more than 1 million.
