About GCC Why should you participate

Jointly Organised by CyberPeace, The Commonwealth Secretariat and Autobot Infosec. Global CyberPeace Challenge (GCC) is the world’s largest cybersecurity competition with participation from more than 120 countries. GCC is a journey to recognize and award talent that can build solutions to some of the most pressing cybersecurity problems faced by society today. The objective of the challenge is to tap into the innovative approaches adopted by participants to solve critical real-world problems in the technical and policy challenges.

The first three editions of GCC have been a tremendous success garnering more than 7500 participation from 120 countries (combined numbers).

Global CyberPeace Challenge 4.0 will be organised on the same lines as of previous editions with three challenges:

Staying Safe

  • Your safety is our highest priority.
  • The protocols are guided by our Internationally Respected Infection Prevention Experts and Recommendations from the Government.
  • Hand sanitiser and face coverings will be available at the entrance and at key points around the venue. We will also be providing V&A face coverings.
  • In line with government guidelines, all participants & guests  will be adhering to the guidelines during the competition.

Challenges

The Global CyberPeace Challenge offers participants three distinct tracks, each tailored to test and elevate their expertise in critical areas of cybersecurity, policy-making, and innovation. These tracks are designed to simulate real-world scenarios and inspire innovative thinking while fostering collaboration among the brightest minds worldwide.

Cyber Policy & Strategy Challenge

A high-stakes simulation of an international cyber crisis, this track immerses participants in one of the largest and most complex scenarios of its kind. Teams will need to craft and execute strategies and policies, navigating critical trade-offs under intense time pressure while competing against the ingenuity of other groups.

Capture The Flag

This track tests participants’ expertise in tackling cybersecurity challenges across Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) domains. Teams will compete in intense problem-solving scenarios, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities in a competitive environment. The challenge brings together top talent globally, offering a unique platform to demonstrate technical prowess and innovation in cybersecurity

Peace-a-Thon

This track focuses on innovation and problem-solving, where participants address real-world challenges by developing impactful solutions. Teams will analyze critical problem statements, brainstorm creative approaches, and present their proposals to a panel of experts. The Peace-a-Thon emphasizes collaboration and ingenuity, aiming to drive practical advancements in cyber security and global digital safety.

GCC 4.0 stands for Global CyberPeace Challenge 4th edition.

After conducting two consecutive years as a fully virtual event this time we are coming with a physical event in India allowing anyone to participate across the world. Stay tuned for more Updates 🙂

Cost!! Are you joking? The Global CyberPeace Challenge is completely free of cost to all the participants.

Irrespective of experience and age, anyone like students, researchers, and professionals can participate to prove their skills. But participants need to be Human beings, not aliens. Ha ha Just Kidding 😉

For Peace-a-thon and Capture the Flag competition, a team can have a maximum of 3 participants. For Cyber Policy and Strategy Challenge the team can have a maximum of 5 participants.

The participants are to book their own tickets, which will be reimbursed upon reaching the Grand Finale

  • Indian participants can book train tickets for 3rd AC.
  • International participants can book Air tickets for Economy class.
